Loyn + Co Architects

Loyn + Co Architects + Co Architects was founded in 1992 by Chris Loyn + Co Architects + Co Architects, who established the practice in 1987 with a vision to promote excellence in design while prioritising people, place, and the environment. Our approach is rooted in a deep understanding of site history, context, and user needs, which has led to award-winning projects across residential, public, and environmental sectors. We champion collaborative design, fostering open-studio teamwork to deliver bespoke solutions that enhance quality of life. Our commitment to honesty, integrity, and innovation ensures every project, from private residences to public spaces, reflects both functional excellence and aesthetic distinction. With decades of experience, we specialise in creating site-specific architecture that often secures planning permissions where others have failed.

Our work has earned recognition including RIBA Awards, Welsh Housing Design Awards, and Civic Trust commendations. We believe architecture should make a meaningful difference, balancing environmental responsibility with bold, context-driven design. Our team combines technical expertise with a passion for pushing boundaries, ensuring every project meets the highest standards of craftsmanship and sustainability. Clients benefit from our transparent communication, iterative design process, and dedication to exceeding expectations. As a practice, we remain committed to learning, sharing knowledge, and contributing positively to the built environment.
