At CtC Architects we offer a comprehensive architectural service from concept to completion, specialising in low-energy design including Passivhaus. We believe in a fabric first approach to design, minimising the need for energy to heat and run the property before adding renewables where possible. The result is low-carbon solutions that respond to a changing climate.

We create environments that are responsive, adaptive, inviting and exciting. We believe that architecture and environments are deeply connected, and that each one has an influence and effect upon the other. We approach every project with excitement and enthusiasm, and are always seeking for new ways to educate ourselves about new products, innovative materials, exciting tools, and the latest building technologies.

We bring ideas to life. That is both our goal, and our vision, so we make every effort to deeply envision your idea. The design process at CtC Architects involves several stages, from initial sketches to 2D and 3D modeling, depending on your requirements.

She went on to work for Dorsch Consult as a Project Manager on a major national civil engineering project, before moving to Cambridge in 2002 where she joined Covell Matthews Architects.
In most cases, it can be easier and more cost effective to extend your property than to relocate.
If you think you have space which is under utilitsed or an extensive garden, it would be worth considering converting that unused space or extending.
CtC Architects can guide you through the process from concept to completion.
Most of us live in old properties that could do with a makeover, both inside and out.
Some people take the opportunity to combine a facelift and refurbishment with an upgrade to the thermal fabric and other thermal components improving the energy efficiency of their homes.
The Clients were in desperate need for more living space on both floors.
With a very long garden and a great southern orientation, it was a no brainer to expand to the rear.
The property now boasts a generous open plan kitchen, dining and living space with large sliding doors overlooking the back garden.
The old kitchen has been transformed into a much needed Utility Room with access to the side passage and space for muddy boots and wet coats.
Upstairs a new double bedroom with vaulted ceiling, wall to wall storage and en-suite shower room has replaced the old poky bedroom.
The Client's brief was to extend this dated 1930s corner house to provide additional living space for a growing family, giving it a much needed facelift and enhancing its thermal properties in the process.
The original property comprised a detached 3-bed house with red brickwork, slap dash render and pvc windows.
Full planning permission was acquired to extend to the side over two floors.
The Client was very keen on an 'Art Deco' appearance and the transformation included features such as Crittall windows including curved glass.
The original property had a large glass conservatory attached to the rear of the house.
As is often the case, this space tended to be very cold in winter and too hot in summer and it therefore was not a very useful living space.
The Clients decided to demolish it and replace it with an open plan kitchen living dining space which now connects the house to the garden.
The old garage at the front of the property was converted into an additional bedroom with en-suite bathroom.
The disused attic was converted into an additional master bedroom with en-suite shower and office space overlooking the rear garden.
