Elbourn Architects
Elbourn Architects create bespoke, thoughtful and contextually appropriate buildings. All projects are designed to have excellent build quality, fulfill the client's brief, be financially achievable and be a delight to behold and inhabit. We value the opportunity to work with users to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved. We have long standing relationships with many of our clients and regularly guide more inexperienced owners through the building process.

Many of our projects are on difficult sites often in historic or protected settings. We enjoy the challenge of providing solutions to a wide range of architectural problems of all sizes and complexity. Brian trained in Newcastle and Oxford. He has worked on several commercial projects in London including the multi-million-pound College Hill Redevelopment for the Skinners Company where in addition to design and detailing he also took the role of Site Architect.

Brian was an Associate at Whitfield Partners where he was project architect for several influential and award-winning projects including the new Building at Hereford Cathedral to re-house the Mappa Mundi and Chained Library (Royal Fine Arts Commission Building of the Year) and both phases of the Canterbury Cathedral International Study Centre.

From concept through design to project build and final completion it was a pleasure working with Brian.
Nothing was too much trouble and he coordinated everyone with skill and patience, was a real team player, sorting niggle issues promptly and decisively, as well as dealing with possible serious planning threats with authority and success.
My Governors and I were very grateful that he took the lead on everything, consulting when necessary and keeping us informed at every step.
As the Headmaster of large school with countless tasks filling every week and term, I knew that Brian's support and guiding hand would carry each project through, delivering on time and with the minimum of disruption and tension.
