Transform Architecture provides a comprehensive Architectural Design Service in the south London area. We cater for a specific local need for high quality, cost effective drawings and plans for homeowners, builders and developers. Good quality architectural plans are an essential part of any building project and we will be able to advise you on your best use of space and importantly give advice on whether planning permission is required and if it is what options are more likely to be approved.

Whether you want a new extension, loft conversion, new house or conversion, you will need detailed plans drawn up. These plans will also help you to formulate your ideas and can be submitted to your local council for both planning consent and building regulations approval. Many types of extension, alterations and changes to a property will require planning consent.

New regulations mean that more extensions can be built without the need for a Planning Application; however these regulations, known as Permitted Development Rights, can still be quite prohibitive.
Services
Whether you are looking for a guest room, a home office or an additional bedroom to accommodate a growing family, a loft conversion can be a cost effective way of adding value and increasing space.
Before rushing into the project it is essential to get the correct design at the beginning.
Whatever your requirements we will design a loft that meets your needs.
We do not offer templated designs or a one-size fits all solution as many loft conversion companies do, we will work in collaboration with you to design a solution that is right for you and your property maximising the space available.
If you have the space your home may have the potential to be split into self contained units (flats), any building lager than 120 Sqm may be suitable for conversion to flats.
A well designed conversion will allow you to make the most of the space and maximise the flats values.
Large detached or semi-detached properties which are no longer suitable for single family occupation (this may include large terraced housing).
Other large non-residential properties suitable for conversion subject to compliance with other policies in the Local Plan.
My neighbour got planning approval for an extension; I want to do the same as them?
When the planning dept looks at each individual case the proposals are judged on their own merits.
Planning policies for a local authorities change over time.
For what your neighbour could have done then you can't do now because planning policy may changed.
What is Planning permission?
If your proposals involve House Extension, external house alterations, house conversion to flats you will require planning permission.
Planning permission is not normally required.
However, permission is required where you extend or alter the roof space and it exceeds specified limits and conditions.

No extension beyond the plane of the existing roof slope of the principal elevation that fronts the highway.
No extension to be higher than the highest part of the roof.
Materials to be similar in appearance to the existing house.
No verandas, balconies or raised platforms.
