MO Architects

MO Architects are a Nottingham-based firm specialising in planning-led residential and commercial design, serving clients across Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, and the wider East Midlands. We partner with homeowners, developers, community groups, and commercial clients to deliver architectural solutions that are carefully considered, practical, and aligned with planning regulations. From initial feasibility studies and site appraisals to planning submissions, technical design, and construction oversight, we provide informed guidance and innovative solutions throughout every stage of a project.

Our practice places strong emphasis on planning expertise, recognising that successful outcomes rely not only on aesthetic appeal but on what can be achieved in practice. We prepare and manage planning applications, pre-application submissions, design and access statements, heritage statements, and listed building proposals, as well as planning appeals. This method reduces risk, minimises redesign, and enhances the likelihood of consent, particularly for sensitive, constrained, or heritage sites. Whether delivering house extensions, new-build homes, residential apartments, healthcare and community buildings, or commercial developments, our work respects local context, responds to user needs, and maintains rigorous technical standards. We foster collaboration, maintain clear communication with clients and contractors, and ensure designs are buildable and compliant. Our structured approach balances creativity with regulatory requirements to bring projects from concept to completion efficiently and effectively.
