We were asked to come up with a scheme that transformed a 4-storey terraced house that we had previously extended 12 years ago.
Given that the clients are very keen on their garden and that the property had already been extended, we focused on the internal reconfiguration in order to better connect the living spaces and create a contemporary design with the 'wow factor' that the clients wanted.
The key was to connect the kitchen/dining area in the basement to the formal sitting area and TV room on the ground floor.

The property is within the Heaver Estate Conservation area and was built between 1890-1910.
Earlier conservatories and extensions had been added to the property but the ground floor rooms felt very disconnected from the garden.
Our client's priority was to open up the back of the house and create dynamic family room with connection with the garden.
Along with extensive internal refurbishment the existing extensions were removed and a contemporary ground floor extension with varying heights was introduced to allow natural light into the main kitchen and family space.

We have designed schemes for this project which involves the opening up and enlarging of the ground floor - in order to create a large, open-plan living area, reconfiguration of the first floor and a loft extension.
The clients came to us with the brief of creating a contemporary, open-plan ground floor, which maximised usable space in a 5 metre-wide Victorian terraced house.
They wanted a larger kitchen and dining area and a living/seating area that was better connected to the kitchen for their growing family.

This project involved the remodelling, refurbishment and the extension of a two and half storey, detached property in Wimbledon Village, built in 1907.
The house is locally listed and has notable features including large curved roofs, massive chimneys and circular bay windows, all in the style of the Arts and Crafts architect Charles Voysey.
The main house retains most of its' original, external features set in mature gardens.
A modern and rather dominant garage was built in the latter part of the 20th century which sat awkwardly with the main house.
