Architecture of Glass - Specialists in the design & installation of high end residential structural glazed modern / contemporary extensions. As an award-winning design and build company, we aim to find unique solutions for every project, supported by craftsmanship and specialist technical expertise. Our design teams are architect-led, and we have offices in London and Leeds to handle residential and commercial projects throughout the UK, and further afield.
Services
We are a Dow Corning approved contractor, and we thus employ high performance glazing materials and have invested in specialist equipment.
We can therefore create 'wow factor' features such as frameless structures and glass beams, as illustrated in these photographs.
Structural glazing also permits the incorporation of 'over-size' double glazing units, 'flat' roof glazing and many other exciting design details.
We aim to create a design solution that brings the benefit of light and space into your environment.
In addition to glass, these may include aluminium, steel framing or concrete.
Alternatively, well-tried timber frame construction can be used in a fresh way to give a light, modern feel to your home.
Although known for our structural glazing and contemporary work, we have long experience in traditional timber frame construction.
Projects involving listed buildings and conservation areas demand a sensitive and harmonious approach to design and at Tromb we embrace the values of traditional design and craftsmanship.
In the first instance, please contact us by phone or by email, so that we can provide initial guidance on design options and likely costs.
If appropriate, we will arrange a meeting with a designer, either on site or at our offices, and we will subsequently provide design, specification and cost proposals.
Alternatively we can work in conjunction with your architect, building contractor or other consultants.
The construction process itself involves carefully pre-planning, during which we will consider every detail in consultation with yourself, and will liaise with all parties to ensure effective co-ordination throughout the project.
Cost will vary according to many factors including design and specification, size, site conditions and location.
At the outset of a project, we provide budget cost guidance to help you assess feasibility, and subsequently we will provide further detailed cost information as the design is developed.
Please do not hesitate to contact our office if you would like to find out more about typical costs or would like to discuss a project in more detail.
