The structural frame necessary to support the rear wing overhead enabled the creation of a dramatic space. Rather than devising a simple box extension the opportunity was taken to make bay windows that defined parts of the room for dining and sitting. We invited a few architects to tender for our project. Paul was far and away the most inspiring, easy to get along with, full of great ideas and very practical.
