Andrew Lethbridge Associates is an award-winning South Devon architect's studio, specialising in domestic and residential projects. Andrew Lethbridge first established his CIAT registered architectural design practice in 2000, after working in both private practice and local authority architects' departments.

Andrew's son Dan joined the practice in 2008 having completed his academic training at the University of Plymouth, and after registering as an Architect with the ARB, the practice evolved to become Andrew Lethbridge Associates in 2012.Most of our projects involve works to people's homes. We work on a range of scales from modest extensions and alterations through complete re-orderings and bespoke new homes.

We have also delivered a range of larger scale residential developments, community buildings and hotels. For larger projects, we can undertake master planning and feasibility studies as part of our brief development services. The practice benefits from the skills and experience of a broad range of professionally qualified staff with their own approach to architecture and design.

Our fully qualified team benefits from a wide range of skills and experience, with backgrounds in small practice, local authority architects departments and larger commercial firms.
Andrew established his own CIAT registered practice in Kingsbridge in 2000 after working for a wide range of architectural practices.

Let us help you to bring your dream home to life with a full range of architects' services from initial sketch design through to on-site inspection and contract administration.
We offer a wide range of architects' services based on the RIBA Plan of Work, which will suit construction projects of all sizes and procurement routes.
We understand that every project is unique, and so we tailor our packages to suit each new brief.
Not all our clients will need, or want, a traditional 'full service' Architect, so the scope of services can be expanded or scaled back as needed to include the required level of support.
Developing a client's brief is the first stage in any project, whether it's a modest extension or a large-scale residential development.
Proper brief development is the key to a smooth design process and successful project.
The brief development and sketch design process will vary from project to project and client to client, but always evolves as a discussion about aspirations, aesthetic preferences and how people will occupy the space.
Some clients will be familiar with this process, but hopefully the information below will be helpful to those looking to appoint an architect for the first time.
We undertake feasibility studies and master planning exercises for larger residential and commercial projects.
These studies explore the development potential of a site by analysing its constraints and opportunities.
Master planning exercises can be useful in several ways.
In some cases, they will form the basis of detailed design work for immediate progression towards a planning application.
In other scenarios, they may be presented as stand-alone documents to inform future development plans.
Feasibility studies and master planning exercises play a key role in the initial design stages of larger residential, mixed use and commercial projects.
You may need to apply to the Local Authority for planning permission if the work you wish to carry out falls outside of permitted development.
We can advise on whether your project will require a planning application.
If it does, we can also confirm whether you will need to appoint any other consultants to support the application.
We'll refine the initial sketch design ideas and coordinate with the other consultants as required.
We will produce all the required drawings and submit the application on your behalf.
